Scripture Union Daily Guide 26 September 2025 Outline:

In his final speech, Bildad tried to show Job how infinitesimally small he was to God. Compare Job 25:2,3 with Job 25:6. Bildad could not comprehend how Job, a man, who is but a maggot and worm, would question the great God, the Ruler of the universe, with innumerable forces at His service. Bildad saw Job’s action as an affront to the all-powerful and holy God. But Job had been asking God to show why he was suffering, and God had remained silent. When the person you are asking questions chooses to remain silent, the probability of misinterpreting his or her actions/silence and drawing wrong conclusions is very high. Can this explain why Job concluded that God was against and unfair to him?

Bildad’s question “How can a man be righteous before God (Job 25:4-6)?” is a great question that reminds us of the universal sinfulness of man (Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:23-26). Of our human effort, we can never be righteous before God, but we can thank God that through the atoning death of Christ, we have been made eternally righteous (Romans 6:23, Romans 8:1). Hallelujah!

And So
We are saved by faith in Christ alone plus nothing.
